Jason Eisenman
Why do you enjoy working at Fletcher Arms? “Work? This doesn’t feel like work! I’ve considered myself extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share in something I’m passionate about and help customers become better shooters and get the gear and info they need to be prepared self defenders.”
Background? “My second introduction to shooting was actually a seat in Defensive Handgun I that was given to me by a friend that asked me to take it with him. I borrowed one of his guns, and from then on, I was hooked!”
Why are you passionate about firearms? “Shooting for me began as a hobby and grew into a lifestyle after taking courses at Fletcher’s and learning more about the 2A culture. I had a desire to work at Fletcher Arms because I wanted to bridge the gap between “gun people” and those who might be newer to shooting.”
Favorite Class to Teach? My favorite class to teach is Handgun 101. While it’s really fun to work with the ultra-skilled shooters, I love being able to see the palpable difference made from start to finish with beginner level classes.
Why Did You Get into Instructing? I got into instructing because imparting skills and knowledge to others is life-giving for me. I coach high school athletes and love helping them reach their goals. I get the same joy seeing shooters improve their shooting abilities.
Background in Training: I first shot a gun in my mid twenties and got into shooting as a new hobby following a Jiu Jitsu injury. A buddy of mine gifted me a Handgun 102 class and I was hooked. From there, I took the rest of the Fletcher Arms handgun series and made carrying a firearm a big part of my lifestyle. The only place I’ve trained outside of Fletcher’s is Gunsite Academy, but I enjoy competing when I can and want to look for other courses to improve my skills and become better for our students here.
