How to Complete a Firearm Transfer with Fletcher Arms
At Fletcher Arms, we are always happy to assist with your firearm transfers—whether you’re receiving or shipping a firearm. If your purchase requires our FFL license, please provide the seller with our contact information (listed below). Once we receive their request, we will send our FFL to the licensed dealer. We do not provide our license to private party sellers—only to other FFL holders.
Once your firearm arrives, we will contact you. Most transfers are ready for pickup after 4 PM on the day of delivery. Please schedule an appointment for your background check to ensure we provide prompt, personalized service.
Transfer fees are $60 per item, or $30 for Platinum and VIP Members. We are also able to ship firearms to other valid FFL holders. Outgoing shipments start at $65, with additional charges based on weight, insurance, and destination. All outgoing firearms are inspected, and serial numbers are recorded. We are a California-approved shipper and follow all ATF regulations to ensure a smooth and compliant process.

We can add additional shipping insurance for $10. If insured, please know the dollar amount value that you would like your items insured for.
- Need to ship a firearm out? We make the process easy and straightforward.
- We only ship firearms to other FFL holders and will need to obtain a copy of their license prior to shipping. Please have ready the name, address, and contact info for the FFL/dealer that you would like your firearm shipped to, and we will handle the rest.
- Please have the name and contact info for the buyer/transferee of the firearm so that the receiving FFL knows who to contact when the shipment arrives.
- We do not ship any ammunition.
- Prices listed are for shipping to the lower 48 states only. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or any overseas U.S. territories will typically be more expensive, and we can provide a price quote once we obtain more details from you.
