Lee’s Experience: When Reality Hits (After 10 Seconds!)

When Lee asked to be pepper-sprayed as part of his training, he wanted the full experience, and we made sure he understood what was in store. But here’s the twist: though he expected an immediate reaction, it took about 10 seconds for the full effects to hit him. And when it did, Lee was in for a wild ride. His eyes clamped shut as his body reflexively tried to deal with the intense, fiery effects of the ASP formula. For a full hour, he couldn’t open his eyes, and for nearly two hours, the discomfort lingered. His skin felt like it was on fire, and he was bent over with saliva and tears streaming, all while a fan worked overtime to cool him down.

Watching Lee go through this experience was a powerful reminder of the real-world effects and intensity of a good pepper spray formula.
